These side room investigative tests include:

Baseline Electrocardiogram (ECG or an EKG) – a test that records and tests the electrical activity and muscular functions of the heart. ECGs involve electrodes being placed in specific areas on the body. An ECG takes the measurements which get printed out. An ECG is used to check for signs of heart problems such as heart disease.

Glycaemic checks – Blood sugar tests and nutritional assessments assist Doctor in helping patients with diabetes type 1 and type 2, patients who are prediabetic, patients with gestational diabetes, as well as patients who have developed hypoglycaemia or hyperglycaemia, and finding out the causes for the purpose of treatment.

Ambulatory blood pressure – This blood pressure test involves wearing a monitor for 24 hours. It measures blood pressure every 15-30 minutes during daily activities and sleep. It is recommended to patients with higher uncontrolled blood pressure, pregnant women, people whose medication is affecting their blood pressure as well as those suffering from fainting spells.

Baseline lung function tests are a non-invasive group of tests that show how well the lungs are working. The tests measure lung volume, capacity, rates of flow, and gas exchange. This information can help Doctor Solomons to diagnose and decide the treatment of certain lung disorders, such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). The test usually involves a patient breathing in until their lungs are filled with air before blowing out as hard and as fast as they can through a mouthpiece into a measuring device
